Hello, my name is Shannon Sparks and I’m currently a senior at Hood College.

I have many roles in the community. I am an intern at the Scott Key Center, a county government non-profit that helps adults with disabilities find employment. I’m also a ZUMBA instructor at Tucker’s Tae Kwon Do Studio in Frederick. Along with these activities I also am a dispatch person and receptionist at Bayrunner Shuttle West, a local shuttle business. Finally, but most importantly, I am a communications student.

I have worked with MCTV and other film crews in the past developing my videography skills and producer skills. Photography is another love of mine, I love to do photo shoots for weddings and other local events. I have had articles published in the school paper, and have experience in writing articles for the Boy Scouts of America Appalachian District in Maryland. After graduating from Linganore High in 2009, I attended Montgomery College for 3 years where I gained experience in working with videography and becoming a student leader of multiple organizations. In May, 2012 I received my Associates Degree in the Arts and transferred to Hood College. Currently, my graduation date is set for May, 2014.
