March-April Campus Crime

Two additional crimes, along with four crimes and a power outage from March, have occurred on campus during the first week of April, according to the Office of Campus Safety.

Below is the information provided by Thurmond Maynard, Chief of Campus Safety, which was taken from the campus safety daily crime logs.

March 2

10 p.m. power outage reported at New Residence Hall. Referred to Facilities Department.

March 4

2:41 a.m. suspicious person reported at the rear lot of Gambrill Gymnasium. Referred to Campus Safety.

March 9

12:12 a.m. vandalism reported at Hood Alley. Referred to police department.

March 10

1:23 p.m. bias incident reported outside of the Joseph Henry Apple Academic Resource Center. Referred to Bias Incident Response Team.

March 18

12:35 p.m. sexual misconduct reported at Smith Hall. Investigation pending. Referred to Title IX coordinator.

April 8

12:30 p.m. damage to property reported at Smith Hall. Referred to police department.

April 9

9:44 p.m. noise complaint reported at New Residence Hall. Referred to Residence Life.
