Lallo’s Bar and Grill sits off the Golden Mile in Willowdale Shopping Plaza in between a liquor store and a Mexican restaurant. From the outside it appears plain and small, but the inside speaks differently.

When I first heard of Lallo’s, I thought it was just a pizza shop. When I stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. Dim lights line the ceiling, and a big counter with a small, open kitchen that can be seen in the back left corner. 

High top tables line the wall next to the front door and a big window stretches across. Two pool tables are separated from the dining room by two pillars supporting the restaurant. 

The separated dining room from the pool tables gives the customers a reason to hang out all night, order drinks and enjoy their delicious food. Live music is also common on weekends and weekday happy hours. 

Lallo’s serves everything from full pizza pies to salads. You can tell that the food it serves is always fresh, too. I had the pizza, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, fries and chocolate cake. While the mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers and the cake were delicious, the pizza and fries weren’t my favorite. 

The fries were a little flimsy and didn’t have a satisfying crunch I normally like. The pizza is good, and I know others enjoy it, I just have a taste for more authentic pizza, and I felt that Lallos’s had an almost artificial marinara sauce taste.

Overall, I think the vibes of this bar and grill are very fun and casual with an easy-going environment. I think it’s a great place to go for a good meal, drinks and to have a fun night listening to music and playing a couple rounds of pool.
