Late Night Breakfast returns

Hood’s annual tradition of the Late Night Breakfast, a gathering of food and friends that allows students to relax before finals, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

According to Director of Dining Services John Bragel, the dining hall is typically busy as soon as the doors open for the event.

“It’s great to see the excitement and energy of the students as they come in for this great tradition,” Bragel said.

This year, the menu will offer an assortment of breakfast favorites, including scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, breakfast sausages and turkey sausages, tofu scramble, French toast, pastries, and angel food cake with fresh toppings such as strawberries.

Some students have suggested that the Late Night Breakfast is one of the best campus events of every year.

At a time when Hood’s students are buried by their class workloads and cramming for final exams, the Late Night Breakfast is the perfect opportunity to slow down and get a delicious and filling meal with friends.

“The whipped cream and the strawberries are really the stars of the show,” said senior Emma Elizondo.

The event is made possible by a variety of volunteers who help serve the breakfast. According to Bragel, President Chapdelaine and members of the senior team are all smiles and enjoy being there to serve the meal to students.

“There is a great atmosphere during this event and the dining team certainly loves to be a part of this awesome tradition,” Bragel said.
