My name is Nick May and I am a senior at Hood College.
I was raised in Damascus, Md. and attended Damascus High School. While at Damascus, I received my varsity letter in Soccer, Track and Field, and Mens Volleyball.
One of the major reasons I decided to attend Hood was because I would have the opportunity to continue playing soccer in college, under Brian Wall, who was a teacher at Damascus.
I moved to Frederick my junior year after being at Hood for two years.
I am currently getting my degree in Communications Art, with a focus in graphic design. I came to Hood wanting to be a biologist, but changed my mind after freshman year.
Starting in middle school, I began taking art classes and computer classes. I have always had to dream and want to become a digital artist. I would visit my aunt who lives in New York City over the summer, and I would have the chance to watch her work, and see the locations where she got her ideas.
New York City is one of those places where you do not have to walk very far to see some wild things.
Currently I am working at Papa Murphys Pizza in Frederick. Papa Murphys is a nationwide Take N Bake pizza chain that started in the northwest. I also work as an on campus tour guide.
