In the inaugural season of The Frederick Flying Cows located in Frederick Maryland, the Cows have “MOOO’D” their way into success.

The Frederick Flying Cows are members of TBL, The Basketball League, and are in the Atlantic Northeast Division.

The Cows currently find themselves with a 4-1 record and are sitting on top of the division.

Hood College was proud to welcome the Cows into the community because it attracts both the Frederick community and the student body.

Hood College sophomore Ty Broughton regularly attends the Flying Cows games in the Volpe athletic gym.

“The environment when the Cows are playing at home is great,” Broughton said. “It is really cool to see Hood host such a spectacular event where the Frederick community and student body can come together and watch.”

The Flying Cows players are extremely grateful for Hood College hosting such an incredible group of basketball players.

“Without Hood we cannot make this season happen,” starting point guard Tevin Foster said. “Hood opened the door for us to compete for a championship and has provided us with great professional organization and support.”

The Flying Cows are undefeated at home going 4-0 in their home stretch.

“The energy in the gym during our home games is unmatched,” Foster said. “We could not be undefeated at home without the fans amazing support.”

Not only are the Flying Cows playing basketball in Frederick, but they are also making a huge impact in the Frederick community.

The Flying Cows partake in community events across Frederick, helping children develop their basketball skills and fall in love with the game of basketball.

“I’m blessed to be able to play the game I love because there are so many young children that would love to be in my shoes and get paid to play a child’s game,” Foster said. “Growing up I’ve always wanted to give back and I enjoy giving back to the city I grew up in, Lawton, Oklahoma and Frederick.”

The Flying Cows’ next home game at Volpe athletic Arena is Sunday April 14 at 3 p.m. against Montreal. Tickets can be found at goflyingcows.com.
